I have gone through all of the steps to setup my home network but I still get a message that states, " My network group name is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available." Can someone please assist me in this matter? Email: (e-mail address removed)

Greetings John,

Make sure the XP's firewall is disabled. It will block file and printer
sharing by default. If you are running a third party firewall such as
Zonealarm, Sygate, or Norton Internet Security make sure it is properly
configured for the network. Ensure NetBIOS Over TCP/ IP on all computers.
Details here.

Enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP (NetBT)
