Not an MVP but the fact that the ad doesn't include a company
name and it has FREE FREE FREE plastered throughout makes it
look VERY suspicious. I would just delete it, unless you're
feeling adventurous.

<snip of spam>

Hoax? Maybe since they are asking you to install something that they
don't identify. Virus? Probably not but maybe for whatever you
download from their web site. Phish? Well, I don't see it trying to
pretend to be someone else other than themself trying to separate you
and your money. Spam? YES!!!

By the way, don't go asking about an e-mail by cutting and pasting its
rendered copy from your preview pane. That's worthless. Look at the
HTML source and copy and paste that. Add the headers at the top since
those help identify the sender (but munge out your personal info, like
e-mail and IP address). What you showed what NOT what you got but only
what was presented visually to you. Click here? Where's there? Well,
that a URL link that is part of the HTML code.

Why do you think MVP's would want to disseminate opinions about this?

No, it's neither a hoax, a phishing attempt, nor a virus. It's a
perfectly straight-forward offer to fill your hard drive with spyware
and adware.

I also am not an MVP and I agree with gls. DUMP THAT MESSAGE ! It has all
the flags waving that we read daily about NOT opening email that is not
expected, has an "offer"
too good to be true, and comes from a sender with the temerity to be
anonymous. BTW, I have some nice swamp land for sale; Interested ? (Get
the drift on last item ?)

Well, not really worthless. If you want to assess the social engineering
content, the text is sufficient. And this just drips with elaborate social
engineering. Yeah, it's spam, of the for-profit variety.
