I notice (from your headers) you're using Outlook Express. Can you not drag
the article to the bin? Or delete it from your list?
 
In OE, all you can do is filter out messages based on creating a rule (much
like in OL). But, why should someone have to is the point? Future posting
is a big time no-no.

Not really, at least not in 6.0

Maybe in 7.0 if so it would be a good reason to upgrade
