Yes I know I spelt help wrong - but it got you curious !!!

Built a system a while ago works fine but CMOS seems to keep forgetting that
its a 2400 (said so on the box chip etc) and keeps saying its a XP 1800.

Probably to blame are:

Motherboard/chipset SiS730

BIOS AMI 62-0913-001131-00101111-071595-SiS730S

TIA for any suggestions

Sorry for my pour english, I'm actualy from Belgium, so I normally speak
dutch ...

I had the same problem
You have to set the mainboard clockspeed to 133Mhz instead of the standard
100Mhz
It's just a jumper you have to replace, you can look it up in the papers
that came with your mainboard.

Hope this helps,
Stefan
