Why is it that when I go into the (Tools - Options menu)
and click clear history, the history does not clear.
Everything is still there. Is there a reason for this.
Do I have to reboot the computer for the history to
clear. Would someone please enlighten me. Thanks.

Hi,
With no IE windows open, try it from Control Panel> Internet Options>
General> Clear History.

You might need to delete the damaged History folder- a new one will be
created on restart.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.

Another program might be locking your history.
