I was able to erase my history by going to tools etc..now
it will not erase any history..any thoughts? Thanks!

Download the freeware CleanCache www.buttuglysoftware.com and use that
instead. It not only clears history but also clears temporary internet
files, cookies, index.dat files recent documents MRU. I use it a lot and
have found it very useful. If you want to know what i think of it visit my

I downloaded the utility based upon your review but get the following error
when trying to run it:

Title bar: CleanCache.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Service

Contents: "Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id =0x44c(1100), Thread id =0x554(1364)."

When I click 'cancel' to debug, I get this:
Title bar: No debugger found.

"Registered JIT debugger is not available...etc."

I do have the Machine Debugger Manager set to automatic.

Can you assist as to what the issue might be?

David as i am not the author of the software it is difficult to be specific
as to the cause of the problem. I certainly have never had any problems with
the software. One thing i should ask, though, is do you have the .net
framework installed on your pc. If i recall correctly without .net framework
cleancache either doesn't work or doesn't work correctly.
Also i did get an email from a young lady who said she had installed it and
it didn't work. However after i suggested removing cleancache via add/remove
in control panel and then reinstalling it, she emailed me back and said it
was now working fine.
