History: search

As I pull up history, and run a history search (type in
any letter) several websites come up and REMAIN after
I've cleared the cache, cookies, and History (thru
internet options)! Some sites can be deleted individually
from History;Search by right clicking the mouse and
clicking delete and OTHERS WONT. I've cleared every
conceivable cache or archive/history file on the C drive!
Downloaded and run BHODemon, nothing solved...any
suggestions.

These are probably stuck in the History\index.dat file.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
