because listen to this: Some stupid guy in MS thought of putting the history
inside the favorites icon....
Another stupid guy thought that they should disable the ability for you to
customize the toolbar...
Now... press the STAR and then you will see 3 other options there,
favorites, feeds and history...
press the history...
I know this is pathetic.. but all changes in vista are badly thought out..
so don't be surprised.
-- That saved me asking that question. I use favorites all the time and
never noticed the 'feed' which I have no idea what that means, nor did I
notice the history icon. Thanks for that info. That's one reason I hate new
operating systems. By the time we learn how to use only the same features we
knew how to use on the previous systems they're coming out with another one.
Will this never stop? Some of us would just like to have enough time with one
operating system to be able to learn some of the 'extra' features that we
know is available but we're always having to learn just the basics of since
every couple of years there's a new one on the market that we can't avoid
because it's already in the new machines we buy. I'm too old to buy a green
banana so having to continue to learn all of these 'features' time after time
is a chore for me. Why doesn't Microsoft settle on an operating system that's
sufficient and stick with it. They have enough seperate programs they make
money on they don't have to keep coming out with new operating systems that
consumers have no choice about.
That's my opinion as a consumer who's tired of having to re-learn what I've
already spent lots of time learning in the first place. There is more in life
to do with our time then devote it to learning operating systems over and
over.
Thank all of you guys and gals who devote your time to those of us who can't
figure these things out on our own. I do appreciate your time.
