My IE6 has been plying up for a little while now.
According to the `about' menu, I am on version
6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2030422-1633IS using windows XP home.
The latest bug is that the history function does not
work. When I press the history button the pane opens and
the days are shown, but when I click them to expand them
nothing happens.
Other small bugs are that when I open IE it does not
always come up with a connect window and I have to
manually click on my ISP connect icon (always dial my
default conncetion is checked in the connections
menu).Sometimes even when the connect menu does appear
and I try to connect I get a message "unable to establish
a connection" and I have to hit my cdonnecvt icon on the
toolbar, whereas other times it will connect fine
Also it will only occassionaly disconnect itself when it
is idle, even if I tell it to do so after 10 mins. This
has proved costly once or twice when I have been using a
Pay as you go ISP and my kids have left it connected for
a couple of hours.
All service pack updates are installed.
I have tried to repair IE by following the instructions
on the article on this site but no joy.
Help very much appreciated.
