History Folder Being Mysteriously Cleared

After I reboot the items in my history folder are gone. During an internet
session
the items are there. I have disabled a few start up items which I thought
might be the
culprit(s) with no success. The 'Days to keep pages in history' in 'Internet
Options' is set to 10.

Are there any Windows Me setting(s) that might clear the History folder on
start up??

Any help will be appreciated.

Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab under Security.
Empty TIF when browser is closed.
