history clearing

i amtrying to erase my history, but when I goto the tools prompt and internet
options the block to clear history is not active...how do I change it?

Try setting the limit in the following registry keys... you can limit the
time to keep the Internet History or set it to 1 day or 0 for the history to
be erased, in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\Url History

Or limit the disc space for the Internet Temp files and cookies here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\Cache

To access the Windows Registry: Start\Run\type: "regedit" (no quotes) and
hit Enter.

Also take a look at CCleaner as a tool to remove history, cookies, temp
files and other junk.
