Hissing in speakers

I recently had to re-install hardware devices, now I am
getting a hissing noise all the time on the speakers, has
anyone got any suggestions ????

Turn the volume down on each part of the sound system,
including the speakers themselves. Sounds like the amp is
being over-driven.

Try moving the speaker cables.

Check all the mixer setting for the sound card. You've probably got an
unused input cranked up, like a Mic or Aux input. You can eliminate them
one at a time by checking/unchecking the Mute box for each input until
you find the culprit. Also check the Mic input boost level, some mixers
have two levels for the mic.
