Hello. I read http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1579, Beginners Guides: Browser Hijacking & How to Stop It, Mike Dowler, PCstats, May 10, 2004 and found a bogus registry setting: Start page file://c:/spex/start.html, but every time I delete the bogus setting and rebooted, it automatically appeared. Any help on how to clear this issue? I cannot set my home page as desired. Thank you.

Hi

Try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Also see the following links:

There is probably a process re-adding it, best way to deal with these sort of things is to run some form of spam/ad/spybot destroyer on the pc.

My personal favorite at the moment is Spybot Search and destroy (just google for it) it's a freeware app, give that a go.
