Hijacked

My computer has been hijacked and I have seen posts saying
to use HijackThis or Spybot. I know very little about this
and just want to make sure these programs are safe before
I download them to my computer. Thanks for any help.

Both are fine to run, use SpyBot first, it should get ride of your problem.

Spybot is safe, and is highly regarded. I've never used the other one, so I
can't comment on it.
