Hijacked By dotcomtoolbar!

Bill

Please help as I have been hijacked by something called
the dotcomtoolbar. Whenever a domain does not resolve, I
am immediately taken to dotcomtoolbar.com. My homepage
settings are unaffected and my browser does not have any
added icons or anything.

Besides correcting this problem, how can I prevent it from
happening again? I have installed all the updates from
Microsoft when I first got this computer three weeks ago
and check regularly.

I thought Microsoft corrected this problem when there was
a rash of homepage bugs going around about a year ago.
Guess I was wrong. :(

Thanks in advance for your help!

It is known as Scumware. 1, 2 and 3 are good. 3 will PREVENT this from
happening. Visit these sites. Download and install, run one or all. They
are all good, FREE utilities. The first site gives some recommendations.
