Is there a way to highlight text from the starting point of your search and
ending the highlight at the search end point? I believe this was possible in
WordPerfect. Thank you!

Click at one end of the desired selection. Use the slider on the vertical
scroll bar to bring the other end in view and Shift+click.

But using the "search" function. So say I'm on page one and I want to
highlight everything from the start to the search results or end point.

Place the cursor at the start point. Press F8 to enter Extended Selection mode
(the letters EXT will turn from gray to black in the status bar). Run the
search, and everything from the starting point to the end of the found text will
be highlighted. Press the ESC key to turn off Extended mode.
