Highlighting a web page & scroll bar

I use to be able to highlight a section of text on a web
page that I'm interested in... scroll down the rest of the
page to check it out... then scroll back up to the area I
highlighted to find my place on the page again.

But now, as soon as I click on the scroll bar, the
highlighted text immediately becomes *un*highlighted.

What can I do to change it back to the way it was?

Did you install the 824145 security patch recently?

It's causing havoc to the scrolling bar.
Remove it with the add/remove applet. A new version is being worked ont.
