Highlighted News Groups

Since downloading IE I have noticed that under Newsgroups.BellSouth.net,
when I select a newsgroup, the newsgroup turns blue and remains highlighted
but after reading or selecting one of the subjects the highlighted newsgroup
looses the highlight - how can I keep the newsgroup that I am working with
remain highlighted? Previously I did not have this problem but now I do,
can anyone help please?
