I have a quick strange question that hopefully someone knows what is
happening. During work on a document, a bullet became highlighted. If i
select the bullet and choose highlight->None, the highlight wont go away.
Anyone know what is happening? Thanks for any help you can give.

It may not actually be highlighted?

Try this...click in the problem para and hit Shift + F1. Then study
the information about the formatting that has been applied. See if you
can see whether highlighting has actually been applied.

Good luck...

If just the bullet is highlighted, but the text is not, it could be that the
paragraph marker for the bullet has been inadvertently highlighted. To fix
it, be in Page Layout or Print Layout view and click the "Show/Hide Paragraph
Markers" button on the toolbar (looks like a backwards P). This will show you
visually if the paragraph marker is highlighted.

You can use that trick to change the colours of bullets without affecting
the text colour.
