High Res Graphics into a Movie

Hello

I have some high res graphics and I want to make them into a movie. I have
saved the files in a png format, however when I save the movie to the high
resolution
AVI format, the movie still comes out blurry and seems to be 640 x 480 VGA
or 768 x 576 PAL. Never any bigger. Is it my file format? Should I save the
graphics in a different format? I want this to play on tv and I would like it
not to be blurry.

Help please.

Thanks John

I should have said I am running Windows XP. However, those are good
instructions and I might be able to use some of it as a work around.
Especially the one about using videos instead of stills in the timeline.
