Hiding Tasks in Outlook until Start Date

C

Chris

Hi,

I have several tasks that have start dates in the future. For instance, in
April I need to go to a doctor for an annual exam (for work as a pilot). I
want to put it on my task list to remind me in April. However, I don't want
to look at it on my task list for the next several months. I would like the
task to be hidden from my view until the start date.

A workaround would be to create an event on my calendar then when I get to
the event on the calendar create the task. But this often leaves my calendar
cluttered with reminders for tasks. I would prefer a solution.

So here is the question:
Is there some way to hide a task until the start date? I would like to
create a task and have it hidden until the start date. Is there a view in
outlook or a way to customize a view? A filter to get rid of tasks that have
not started?

Thanks,
Chris

You answered your own question; create a customized view with a filter;

I can't figure it out either and have tried all of the combinations I
can think of at Customize Current View. Hope somebody can help soon.
