S Venkatesh

In powerpoint presentation I used an action button with
text added, and Hyperlinked it to another powerpoint
presentation in the same folder; In the slideshow view,
the path of the linked file is being displayed as
screentip (mouseover); Is there an option to hide/
prevent the screentip (path & anything as screentip)being
displayed ? We are using MS-OfficeXP;

Kindly reply at the earliest

Thanks & regards

I don't think you can hide it or turn it off, but you can edit it - select
the hyperlink, rightclick and choose Hyperlink, Edit from the popup menu.

Change the "Screentip" text box to whatever you'd like it to say. You can
enter just a space if you like. Then the screen tip will be a small yellow
box with nothing in it.

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for
(eliminate screen tip for hyperlinks), although they can be edited.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
