Hiding Netmeeting Icon in Systray via a gpo

Have machines in-house set up to allow remote desktop
sharing. It has an icon in the systray, but users keep
disabling it.

Need to activate remote sharing and hide the icon for
those users.

Heard I can hide this via a gpo, anyone know how??

Hi Jim-

Sounds like your clients are XP. Assuming your AD is running W2K3 I think
this is available in the computer settings-administration area. :s

Thanks for the reply,, yes the users are XP, the server
is 2K.

Looking in the gpo, I don't see an option that will hide
the icon in the systray..

Hey Jim-

Ok. That option is only available in the Windows 2003 server's GPOs. Remote
Desktop wasn't available until WinXP was released and Server 2003 was
created around XP programming.

Ok, for netmeeting it's in the Computer Configuration\Administrative
Templates\Windows Components\Netmeeting and there you find DISABLE Remote
Desktop Sharing.

users can not disable it ...

Ok, well any options that are available for Netmeeting are located where I
said last post and in the same place under the User Configuration are.
