Start
Run
type
gpedit.msc
click OK

<Group Policy opens>

Navigate to
User Configuration
Desktop

right hand side window

Hide my Network Plavces icon on desktop

the My Computer on is a little more difficult, easiest way is to use the

Hide all icons on Desktop options from the same location as above.

Either way you should find most of the lockdowns you'll need in future
in gpedit.msc

hope that helps

Thanks Steve,
I guess I'll have to use "Hide all icons" and then re-create all but those
two.

Regards
