What are these:
WildTangent Control Panel
DirectX9 Hotfix KB839643
Microsoft XML Parser and SDK
Windows 2000 Hotfix KB823182 and 11 other numbers
Windows Media Player Hotfix (See Q828026 for more info)
 
The first one may be spyware. The others are legit.

Dave is right, it is bonafide spyware. It registers
a BHO (dll) and installs an EXE as parent to that
BHO, and as long as you have a browser (IE) open
it will make numerous connections to
www.wildtangent.com. Open [netstat -a]
and you will see those connections.
