Hide unwanted checkboxes

Morning all,

Having a bit of trouble with checkboxes. I want to get rid of the square (I
have already made the border transparent) around the tick so that on a report
sheet you can only see the tick on its own. Not having much luck getting any
hits on this problem from google so any help is most appreciated.

Did the job perfectly. Would never have thought of using a text box so you
have saved me god knows how many hours of head scratching.
