Hi again!

I have red the latest postings about hiding MS startup stuff. I have done
them all and still have some fragments left, maybe someone knows a way to
get rid of them:

- I have set a transparent cursor but during the startup i stll see the
standart mousecursor UNTIL windows loads the customized settings.

- I have autohided the taskbar and also tried to manually drag it down to a
small line on the bottom of the screen but during the XPE initialization the
taskbar is still visible until it minimizes itself and my autorun
application starts.

Is there any way to get rid of the mouse cursor and the taskbar once and for
all?

Thanks for your help!

Philipp,

Just a suggestion that may not work for you... Since you want to change some
UI behaviour for standard Explorer shell and this shell is pretty heavy
(take some time to load) you may end up launching your app as a shell. The
app will hide (hide, or move out of screen area or etc.) the mouse cursor
and run Explorer (CreateProcess). In backgroud the app may watch for the
Taskbar window hiding it right after it appears (should be a very short
time).

I Have exactly the same problem with the mouse pointer; I have been told also to move it out of screen; but I'n not satisfied becasue as you said the mouse is shown UNTIL the customized settings are loaded. I think it should be a good way to do this, Win2k does; if you find it please let me know. I tried SEVERAL ways to do that but no luck

Regarding the Task bar read the link below; it may work for you. It works pretty good
