HIDE RUN IN START MENU

G

Gregor

Hi!

I want to hide run command from start menu. I know I can do that by setting
registry key NoRun to value 1. But in my case I have to set this key to 0.
Is there maybe another option to hide run command from start menu?

Thank you

Gregor

A Group Policy. Which may be local or applied from the domain.
gpedit.msc
User config/Admin. Templates/Windows comp./Start menu & taskbar/
"Remove Run menu from Start Menu" = Enabled

But this alone will not stop users from running stuff as you may know.

Okay, I started playing with the Group Policy Editor. At some point, I
clicked on "Show Configured (somethings) Only", and now I cannot figure
out how to put it back to its default. How do I put it back the way it
was? The "Not Configured" designations do not show up on any of the
policies.

Never mind. I found it. Now I'm going to leave it alone.
