I don't know if it's possible to hide that control panel item, but however,
non-administrator users cannot view or change Parental Control settings, FYI.
Right now non-administrator accounts can view parental controls like activity
reports, web filters, time limits, etc. I do not want non-administrator
accounts view these controls and settings. Is there a solution available
today to met this requirement?
You can probably set up a guest account and allow access only to what you
want
them to be able to use. IIRC, you can make users for all of the individuals
with the proper
perms. Get a lock for the computer case. Password the bios. Disallow boot
from CD.
You can be a total nazi admin. There are administrative tools that you
can use to create profies, etc, that you can control. People in the
workplace
do it all the time. But beware, kids are much more computer savvy than most
of them. So you have to take additional steps to protect the machine.
Course, I think all of that is bull for anyone older than 12, but that is
my opinion alone. I hate censorship. Just my .02
