"Hide" hidden slides so they can be seen at all

Hello,

I would like to utilize this 'Custom Shows' option (using PPT 2003). I know
how it works and I've set up presentations that display specific slides in a
specific order. Thing is, I would ALSO like to email this presentation to
multiple groups. Each group has their own Custom Show...so I only want them
to see the slides that I've set up in their Custom Show. However, when the
open the attachment, the Normal View of PowerPoint allows them to see all the
slides. They actually have to run the presentation to see my Custom Show.

Is there a way to prevent people from seeing these 'hidden' slides when
looking at the Normal or Slide Sorter Views of PowerPoint? I thought about
saving as a .PPS, but anyone can just change the extension to .PPT.

Any ideas? I'm trying to avoid having to save multiple presentations for
each group. Thanks everyone!

You could ....

Password protect the file
Add a black rectangle on top of all slide contents
Add a trigger to make the rectangle appear when it is clicked (in other
words it can't be made to show during a show)

This will not hide the slide from the end-user, but will mostly mask the
contents of it.
