Hide File Extensions Default Settings

I want my file extensions to be hidden, but every time I Warm/Cold boot the
system, it remain showing up file extensions, which I have to hide again from
the control panel > folder options.
is there anyway, I can fix it permanently? any advice/Suggestions will be
appreciated.

Other Information:
1: System Restore Off
2: System Fully Dated
3: O/S: Dual Boot with WindowsXP home (SP2) and Windows XP Professional (SP2)

Hi

Try this:

In Windows Explorer, go to Tools>Folder Options>View and enable 'Hide
extensions for know file types'. Then click on 'Apply to All Folders'.
Failing that:

View settings are limited to 400. Try the following link to increase those
settings to 8000:
