Hide Cells from printing

I have the need for a user to be able to enter a start date, but I don't
want the start date to print when the spread sheet is printed. How can I do
this?

a bit more explanation is in order. If in a cell for a formula just place
outside the print area. If a macro, how about an inputbox ("Enter a date")
