Hide buttons without hiding arrow pointer?

I know you can hide both the buttons in the lower left corner of the screen
AND the arrow pointed by hitting "A". Is there a way to ONLY hide the buttons
and NOT the arrow pointer? Why would these buttons come up on some
presentations, but not all?

To hide the buttons, click Tools > Options > View.
Under Slide show category, uncheck "Show popup toolbar".
Take note though, that this function is machine based and is not a file
setting. If you are transferring the file to another pc, unless the pc has
this option unchecked, the buttons will still show up.

Whether the buttons show up or not depend on the settings. There are two
ways to show or hide the popup toolbar. The first one has been mentioned
above, the second one is to setup the show in kiosk mode. To do so, click on
Slide Show > Set Up Show. Under Show type, select Browsed at a kiosk. For
Kiosk mode, take note that you will need to rely on hyperlinks and buttons to
advance through slides.

Hope it helps.

Try:

Tools, Options, View tab
Under "Slide show" remove the check next to "Show popup toolbar"

The buttons at lower left will no longer appear; the arrow pointer behavior
won't change.

Does that do it for you?
