Hidden virus or trojan

Pancho

I have this hidden parasite that can't seem to find, the first noticeable
problem was that both Explorer and svchost were accessing the Internet and
my Windows firewall was down, after checking the firewall service, I found
that it was disabled as were other services and they still cannot be
started. I have scanned online with Panda Active Scann Online and Trend
Micro House Call, Local antiviruses NOD32, AVG, Avast 4.0 and Avast 4.5,
this last one found four copies of Win32:CTX virus and deleted it but I
still have problems with svchost.exe, msconfig.exe, Explorer.exe, after I
deleted svchost.exe HijackThis found all .exe files of the Windows Services
were infected with svchost.exe and mi administrative accounts loose
privileges to several management applications, my accounts get disabled,
etc. Other scans are with antispyware programs Adaware SE Personal, Spybot
Search & Destroy, CWShredder (which found a browser hijacker and deleted
it), also HijackThis, Web Root SpySweeper, I have run Several (4) anti
RootKit scanners and one found two discrepancies that I deleted but nothing
seems to work, my accounts keep gettings disabled, msconfig keeps getting
infected, I can't run System Restore, can not run Disc Manager, several
services are stopped and cannot get them running, Internet short cuts
associations keep getting disabled, some hyper links in web pages don't
work, Windows Search does not work, I know I must be leaving something out,
but so many things are wrong that I cannot keep track.

I'm seriously considering a clean reinstallation but would like to know if I
have any alternative.. a while back I read something on a parasite that
attacks msconfig.exe and appears as "msconfig.exe /auto" but that seems
simple compared with this problem and if related, it's probably a minor
association, the hidden virus is the one I'm interested in deleting but
cannot seem to find it by any means.

Any help will be most appreciated. Thanks.

Format your Hard Drive and reinstall your Windows. This will fix the things
because you have too many infections on your computer and obviously no
software can clean them.

You can also read this where I explain in simple words how to reinstall
Windows and some things that should be done after that.
