Download and use BootIT NG, which will allow you to create a mirror image of
the partition, but not include it as a partition in the existing system.
It's also good for backing up existing systems, and can work from just a
floppy or its own bootable partition.
Rick, many people recommend BING. I've started it several times, but I found
the GUI so confusing that I gave up. Is it just me? BING seems to have a
good reputation.
It's a powerful and reliable program, but it does have a steep learning
curve for those not used to that type of envornment. Unlike PM and some
others, there is no fancy GUI, but if you just use common sense and read the
help files it's not as imposing as it initially appears.
