hidden files

Hi, Apparently I have hidden files on my computer. I
have no idea how they got to be hidden. My computer
cannot find any trace of then EXCEPT through Musicmatch
(they are mostly media files). I can access all of them
from Musicmatch, but there is not a trace of the to be
found anywhere else. I have tried everything to unhide
the files, but nothing seemd to work. Can anyone help me?
