hidden files

My folders for my photos are "dimmed out". I tried to
correct in folder options to "show hidden folers and
files", however it did not work. I know the folders are
there, but I can only view the dimmed files.

Right click on the folder, Properties, uncheck the Hidden attribute, apply
to files and subfolders.
The dimmed means the hidden attribute is set.
