Hidden attribute

Please help. Twice now, an important Word document has come down with the
attribute of "Hidden" on it. Except that I am not selecting this attribute,
it's happening all by itself. So under what circumstances could this occur?

If a macro of some kind is running. Or if you (or a macro) has assigned
applying this font attribute to a keyboard shortcut you're pressing?
