My daughter's Laptop has a HID.DLL error that pops up several times during
the PC boot up. The problem is also causing a "Communications Error" when
she attempts to print a page on her printer. Dell's famous fix is to formate
the HD and reload OS. I personally think that the easy way out. Anyone got
any suggestions how to clear the HID.DLL error and I think that will resolve
my printer communications error?

Do you have USB 2.0 installed?

Check in Device manager to see how your USB controllers are.

Thanks for the reply Mick. Yes. USB 2.0 is installed. There are no error
showing in the USB controllers in the Device Manager.
