Why do laptops with slower cpu's and slow Harddrives load the hibernate file
during the resume.

My laptop is 1.7ghz and has 5,400 rpm hdd

my desktop has a 3ghz cpu, raid0 10,000rpm

my desktop takes 30-35 seconds to load a 512mb hiberfil.sys
laptop takes 4-6 seconds to load the 512mb hiberfil.sys

Both windows are fresh installs for testing purpose.

It's very important to have fast loading system.

Nope.. Same problem occurs any every desktop machine I've used.. I have at
least 5 computers at work.. always much slower than laptops...

I am geussing microsoft have not made it a important item to care about.
the int13 sub routens on laptop chipset are optimized..

It is a software issure microsoft is at fault.. as it is the loading of a
file pre-windows!

I want to know if microsoft will improve all int13 for desktop's as well?
