I am using Internet Explorer 6 on a PC, under XP Pro, with
all the patches (supposedly).

When I do a search on Google, the results flash up on the
screen for a moment, then - with the exception of the
FIRST result - the next 2 or 4 results are immediately
changed to display a different set of results. These are
still mainly topic-related or key word related, but are
definately replaced.

Now the interesting thing - when I go to the next page of
the results, the exact same group of results are displayed
in the same 3 or 4 positions. This happens all the time as
I look at further pages of results, and irespective of the
total number shown (through default 10, 0, 30, 50 etc) on
the page - always the same domains in the first 3 or 4
positions.

However, whatever page I am on, if I Refresh the screen,
the correct results are displayed - and are NOT replaced.

I have tried different Browsers (Netscape) and different
computers (MAC), where the problem does not exist. But on
AltaVista, the problem is ther, but only under IE. I feel
it IS an IE thing, but does anybody know anything about it?
