I stopped the explorer.exe from task manager under the processes tab and cold booted it. When it came back up I had nothing but my wall paper no desktop icons no start button or taskbar..
I can only work through the task manager. I've tried restoring my system to a previous date. I've tried running explorer.ece from the command prompt.Nothing worked..
I have Win XP Home edition. My wife threw away the upgrade disk and the box it was in. I hace an evaluation copy of Win XP Pro from my MCSE classes that I'm taking. I know you can bring up the recovery console in Win XP Pro but is there any way I can copy the explorer.exe from the eval disk to my computer?
I had Win ME previously...
I still have explorer.exe on my system but when I click on it is says that it is an unknown program name...
Anyone know anything???
I need help bad.
