Hey I just got this peice of software, was a fan of the old version and I
gotta say this looks nice. My question is though, would it still tell me if a
peice of spyware/adware is trying to install like the other version? cause I
don't see an icon in the system tray thanks.

The system tray icon for Windows Defender (Beta 2) will not be visible if no
action is needed. This is expected behavior.

Also, when you get some time... read the Help file, how to set up WD.

Yes--real-time protection is better than ever, and provided by a system
service that starts with Windows. An optional icon will be available in a
future build.

Okay thanks! I was just more used to having the icon there and had to be sure
that I was still protected as before. Also I'll read the help file right now.

Consider the help file as beta material--if you find it confusing or missing
stuff--start a new thread here with that information--this is an area that
