Hex conversion trouble

For HexStartIt under 7FFF, I get a positive number.
With 842D, I get -31697. How can I fix this?

Hi,

Glad you got it. But I also wanted to point out, if you don't know - Excel
has a number of function for converting binary and decimal to and from hex

BIN2HEX, DEC2HEX, HEX2BIN, and HEX2DEC

These function are part of the Analysis ToolPak, which you attach by
choosing Tools, Add-ins, and checking Analysis ToolPak.
