Stressed OUT
OK...heres the stry behind my dreaded HP, Ive had the
puter for 2 years now...never had any problem with it. I
purchased a bigger hard drive (160) and tried using it as
a master, and used my original (40) as a slave...I wrote
to HP and they told me that my mother board does not
support the 160 but it was running fine for about a weak.
Keep in mind I could only get like 130 out of the 160.
Then one day my computer just froze up on me, So i decided
to put my 40 back as my slave and I unplugged the
160....Ever since that the computer will not boot, Ive
tried everything. The first day I restored it and did a
partition on the drive and it seemed to have worked again
but still kept freezing up. So I tried restoring again and
now The disks (That came factory from HP) wont even work,
My monitor rarely starts up with the hard drive and I
sometimes can get it to recognize my floppy or a cd but
still once again freezes once it gets so far. Ive checked
all cables and jumpers...And oh yeah are there different
types of jumpers? Im not sure...but those are all set to
the settings it shows me on the HD itself. Not sure how to
clear my Bios someone did recommend that but Im not that
sure on it? Can ANYONE PLEASE help me?????? Ive exhausted
all possabiliets.
