Ok, in my system I have an 80 Gb Maxtor Drive(Old), and a
160 gb Maxtor drive(New). I had windows installed on the
80, but wanted to upgrade to the 160, and use the 80 in
another machine. Windows runs fine from the 160, but if I
try to remove the Old drive, it acts as if windows was
never installed... pop it back in, and it works fine. At
first I thought it was a jumper problem, like a master
with slave setting, but it's not. The only thing I can
think of is that the old drive is a system partition, and
the new one got set up as a boot partition... I'm not
sure what the difference is, but it's about the only
thing I haven't checked. Has anyone seen this before?
