helpw/cleaning up comp

B

Becki

I could use some help, I have recieved a used comp. and I
want to clean it out and start it out fresh.
unfortunately the disks that i got with it are windows xp
home, and xp pro with plus is installed on the comp. I
honestly am not sure how to clean out this comp. I will
welcome any and all suggestions. I was able to clean out
my moms used comp by inserting the disks that came with
her comp. But like I said im just not that fortunate.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Becki,

If you are only supplied with the media (CDs) and license keys for Windows
XP Home Edition then that is al you are licensed to have on that PC.
You therefore need to boot the PC from the Windows XP Home CD ROM and do a
full clean install.
This will result in the loss of all data and applications installed on the
PC - so ensure you backup whatever you wish to retain.

To perform a clean install:-

Clean Install Windows XP
