I do not know how to set up an account for my e-mail, please can someone
help me.

I'm not that familiar with UK email providers, but my guess is
that lycos.co.uk provides webmail only, no POP access.
Windows Mail handles POP mail but not webmail.
Is that your only email address?

If you are OK with using a non-Lycos email address, you have
two other solutions that will work with Windows Mail:
1. Use the email address assigned to you by your ISP.
2. Get a free Gmail account.

Gary, Lycos is an absolute pain at the best of times; I dumped mine some
time ago because I couldn't access it through Microsoft Outlook (even with
the Lycos Outlook Sync file) or via the website. I've certainly found Gmail
a lot more accommodating, although I prefer to use Gmail on the web rather
than downloading using Windows Mail.

Yvonne, if you are using your ISP's email account or another account the
uses POP and SMTP (Gmail for example) you might like to take a look at this
