help!!!!

I have a Gateway laptop running Vista premium...it's model ML 6720. I
clicked on something called *blank page* which was in my toolbar, and now I
just have a blank page on my screen, and I don't know how to get back to my
desktop. it might be this thing called *protected mode*...I don't know...but
I just want my desktop back. I couldn't shut computer down the normal way,
because my screen is blank, so I shut the power off, and rebooted. I
*thought* I was in business for a minute because my desktop came back, but
after 2 or 3 minutes, the blank screen came back. Any ideas on how to
accomplish that?

Can you get into the task manager? If so, look for a suspicious process
(something that wasnt there before) and say what it is, that might be causing
it.

The expert here on blank pages in Vista is Frank. Start a new thread
with the title: Blank Page Problem, Ping: Frank.

Its possible you migth be in Full screen mode, press F11 on your keyboard.

Presumably some application is full-screen and showing an empty page.
Try using alt+tab or Winkey+tab to switch out of that application.

Thanks to all!!!! It was full screen, I took it out of full screen and
voila...back to normal. I *still* think I like XP better though. (maybe I'm
just used to it)
