Help!!!

I recently got a new laptop running on vista. I have only just realised that
in certain programs if i try to click on tools, menu, options etc, the
program automatically closes, no prompts, nothing. I have noticed it in msn
messenger, paint and a couple others.

I really want to get it running smoothly and have no idea how to fix this
problem!!!! Please help.

what antivirus do you have?

can you turn it off for a moment and try again ?

see if that changes anything
